The premier educational program for produce and cut flower growers in Kentucky.
This two-day meeting is devoted to fruit, vegetable and cut flower production, handling, harvesting, marketing, storage and related topics. Approximately 500 growers, researchers, and technical service providers attend the Kentucky Fruit and Vegetable Conference each year.
Conference Registration
Registration allows entrance to all conference sessions. Lunch tickets are included with registration. Pre-conference sessions must be registered for separately. Other add-ons (research fund contributions, for example) and farm supporter level sponsorships can be selected and added to your order before check-out.
Online or mail-in early bird registration (received before Friday, December 20, 2024) will be $80. Late registration (received after Friday, December 20, 2024) and on-site registration will be $100. Because of hotel policies, registration fees are non-refundable. You may also pay by check by mailing your registration and check to Kentucky Horticulture Council, PO Box 21736, Lexington, KY 40522-1736. For mail-in registration and conference details, visit the meeting webpage.
Programs will not be mailed like in years past, but they will be available at the conference and you can view it online here.
Grower Group Membership
Each conference ticket also includes complimentary annual membership in the grower group that best describes your interests: Kentucky Fruit Growers - the Kentucky State Horticultural Society (KSHS), the Kentucky Vegetable Growers Association (KVGA), or the Organic Association of Kentucky (OAK). Membership in one of the grower groups is not required for attendance to the conference. Conversely, attendance at the conference is not required for membership. You are welcome to join more than one member organization for an additional membership due fee.
Beginning Farmer Scholarships
Conference registration scholarships are being offered to help Beginning Farmers attend this conference for the first time. These scholarships will be available on a first come first served basis. Preference will be given to commercial farmers with less than 10 years of farming experience and to those who have participated in beginning farmer workshops and classes.
Scholarship recipients will only receive free registration to the conference. Hotel accommodations are the responsibility of the recipients. Farmers who do not qualify for this scholarship and those not awarded the scholarship may find assistance in attending the conference through Kentucky State University's Small-Scale Farm Grant Farmer Education Program. Please note that applications for this KSU program are due 30-90 days before the conference date.
